This policy describes how the Hourwell iPhone app ("the app") handles your information. The app is published by Fatih Güneş under the Hollowitch name.
Summary: Hourwell works on your iPhone. We don't collect personal data, show ads, or track you. Your hours and pay stay on your iPhone and, with iCloud sync on, in your own private iCloud.

Data we collect
We do not collect any personal data from the app. We have no user accounts, no servers that receive your content, and no advertising or tracking SDKs.
Where your content is stored
Everything you enter in Hourwell is stored on your iPhone, including your jobs (name, pay rate, currency, pay schedule, overtime rule and differentials); your shifts with their breaks, tips, mileage, notes and the time zone of each punch; and, for gig work, the tasks, deliveries, trips or orders you log with their pay, tips and notes, plus bonuses, online sessions, odometer readings, earnings goals and cost per mile or kilometer. It all comes from you: Hourwell doesn't connect to your employer or to any gig platform. With iCloud sync on (the default; you can turn it off in Hourwell's Settings), this data is also kept in your own private iCloud account, which we cannot access. Workplaces you save for arrival reminders are the exception: they stay on this iPhone and are never synced. Widgets, the Live Activity, Control Center, Siri and Shortcuts use your data on your iPhone only; they can show your job, hours and estimated pay on your Home Screen and Lock Screen. Exports are PDF or CSV files that Hourwell makes on your iPhone when you open Export, and they go only where you send them from the share sheet. Delete All Data in Hourwell's Settings erases all of this, including reminder workplaces and scheduled reminders; with iCloud sync on, it also deletes the copy in your iCloud. Deleting the app erases only what is on this iPhone, so to remove the iCloud copy too, use Delete All Data with iCloud sync on first.
Permissions
The app asks for these permissions only when you use the related feature. You can change them anytime in iOS Settings.
- Location (Always) — Only if you turn on an arrival reminder for a job. iOS watches the area around the workplace you chose (about 150 m, or 500 ft) and tells Hourwell when you arrive or leave, so it can remind you to clock in or out. Hourwell asks first and never clocks you in or out by itself. It doesn't follow your route or keep a location history, and your location stays on your iPhone.
- Location (While Using) — When you tap Use Current Location while choosing a job's workplace, Hourwell reads your location once to place the pin. iOS also asks for this first when you turn on an arrival reminder, before it offers Always. You can search for an address or tap the map instead; address searches are answered by Apple Maps.
- Notifications — Only if you allow them. Hourwell asks when you turn on "Remind me if I forget to clock out" (or "go offline" for gig work) or an arrival reminder. You get reminders to clock in or out when you arrive at or leave a workplace you chose, and one reminder if you're still clocked in or online after the number of hours you set. Hourwell schedules them on your iPhone and never sends marketing notifications.
Purchases
Hourwell is a paid app that you buy once on the App Store. Apple handles the payment entirely, and we never see your payment details. The app has no subscriptions or in-app purchases.
Analytics and crash reports
We do not include third-party analytics. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized usage statistics and crash reports. These do not identify you.
Tracking
The app does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and it does not sell or share personal information.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
You can delete the app's data at any time by deleting it within the app or by deleting the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal information; since we don't collect personal data from the app, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve, but you can always contact us at support@hollowitch.com.
Changes
If the app's data practices change, we will update this policy and the date above before the change takes effect.
