This policy describes how the Lumideck iPhone app ("the app") handles your information. The app is published by Fatih Güneş under the Hollowitch name.
Summary: Lumideck works on your iPhone or iPad. We don't collect personal data, don't show ads of our own, don't track you, and there's no account. The app goes online only when you play a video file you linked on a card, and then only to the site in your link. YouTube and Vimeo links open outside the app, in their own app or Safari.

Data we collect
We do not collect any personal data from the app. We have no user accounts, no servers that receive your content, and no advertising or tracking SDKs.
Where your content is stored
Your decks, cards, photos, recordings, exams and study history are stored on your iPhone or iPad and are part of its own backup (iCloud or computer) if you have it turned on. Pages you photograph or scan to make cards are read in memory and not kept, unless you add one to a card. Location data is removed from photos you add. Video links are saved as addresses only; Lumideck never downloads videos, thumbnails or titles. Things you share to Lumideck from another app wait on your iPhone or iPad, in Lumideck's own storage, until Lumideck opens them, and are removed the next time Lumideck runs after 24 hours if it never opens them. Backup, deck and export files leave the app only when you share or save them. You can delete everything at any time in Settings → Delete All Data.
AI features
Lumideck 1.0 has no AI features and no AI model. Making cards from your notes, pasted lists and question banks works by rules on your iPhone or iPad, and text recognition for scanned notes and image labels runs on it too. Your text and images never leave your device and nothing is sent to us or to any AI service; drafts become cards only when you save them.
Permissions
The app asks for these permissions only when you use the related feature. You can change them anytime in iOS Settings.
- Camera — Only when you tap Snap notes, or Camera in the card editor, to turn a page of your notes into cards or put a picture on a flashcard. Photos you pick from your library use Apple's picker, which needs no permission.
- Microphone — Only while you record audio for a flashcard, such as a pronunciation. Recordings stay on your iPhone or iPad.
- Notifications — Only if you allow them, after your first study session: one reminder a day at the time you choose, with the number of cards due and your next exam's countdown. Lumideck schedules them on your iPhone or iPad and never sends marketing notifications.
Purchases
Lumideck is a paid app that you buy once on the App Store. Apple handles the payment entirely, and we never see your payment details. The app has no subscriptions or in-app purchases.
Analytics and crash reports
Lumideck contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs, and no YouTube or Vimeo code is part of the app. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized usage statistics and crash reports that don't identify you.
Third-party services
- YouTube (Google) — Only when you tap a YouTube video link you saved on a card: Lumideck hands the link to your iPhone or iPad, which opens it in the YouTube app or Safari, outside Lumideck. YouTube receives what any browser visit sends, such as your IP address, device information and the video you watch, under its own policy. Lumideck can't see or store anything from it. (their policy)
- Vimeo — Only when you tap a Vimeo video link you saved on a card: Lumideck hands the link to your iPhone or iPad, which opens it in the Vimeo app or Safari, outside Lumideck. Tracking
The app does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and it does not sell or share personal information.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
You can delete the app's data at any time by deleting it within the app or by deleting the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal information; since we don't collect personal data from the app, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve, but you can always contact us at support@hollowitch.com.
Changes
If the app's data practices change, we will update this policy and the date above before the change takes effect.
